Jotting down with Rishi!

I’m Rishikesh, but I like Rishi.

My social media handles used to say “Rishikesh Aryan” (I thought it sounded cool back then), but I’ve since switched back to my original name, Rishikesh Jangam. Not that anyone noticed, right? I’m from Hyderabad, India, and currently living in Bentonville, AR. I moved to the US in 2019 for post-graduation, you know the drill.

I’ve lived in Chicago for 3 years (my home city in the US) and Seattle for 2 years. I’ve always been a downtown junkie, loving the rush, noise, and chaos. Bentonville is a stark contrast, laid-back, quiet, and with people who drive 40 mph in a 45 mph zone. It’s a whole new experience for me.

Honestly? I was bored. I don’t have many friends here in Bentonville, so I figured, why not start a blog and do a brain dump whenever I feel like it?I’ve had some cool experiences in my 26 years (I’m a 1998 kid, do the math if you’re reading this in the future). I also have a different perspective on things, often unconventional, and sometimes not the nicest way of looking at situations.

One big reason for starting this blog is my dream of becoming a movie director. I don’t have the skills or guidance for that yet, but I can share my stories here. Why not, right?

Blogging is a whole new world for me, and I’m learning the process, mistakes, experiments, and all.

I come from a joint family of 12–16 people, one kitchen, and one TV. Life was fun, and a little overwhelming. I’ll save the details for a separate blog post about family dynamics.

I’m a software engineer, but let’s just say I’m not married to my job. If I find a well-paying alternative, I’d gladly switch careers and escape the 9-to-5 routine.

Honestly, not much. This is just a brain dump from an ordinary guy. But if you’re curious about my perspective on things, stick around.
